Belleville’s Art on the Square event begins Friday. Here’s the schedule
Art on the Square returns this weekend for its 23rd year at downtown Belleville’s Public Square.
The juried fine arts festival kicks off Friday at 4 p.m. and will include opportunities to enjoy food and beverages, Gateway East Artist Guild artist demonstrations, the Children’s Art Garden, live music, the High School Art Competition and a wide selection of fine art by artists all over the country.
Hours for the annual event are 4-9 p.m. Friday, 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Saturday and 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday. Admission to attend Art on the Square is free. This is a pet-free event.

Café on the Square
Café on the Square will have two locations on the Public Square. Café North is located in front of the MMR building near the Wine Court at the square’s northeast corner. Café South is located at the southeast corner of the square.

Shuttle Service
St. Clair County Transit District shuttle service will be available for attendees of Art on the Square.
On Friday, the first bus will leave the Scheel Street MetroLink station at 3 p.m. for a special needs group and continue to transport visitors every 20 minutes. The last shuttle leaves East Main and Jackson streets at 9:20 p.m.
On Saturday and Sunday, service resumes at 10 a.m. with buses running every 20 minutes. The last buses leave downtown at 8:20 p.m. Saturday and 5:20 p.m. Sunday.
