Belleville Quizno’s closes, Millstadt Subway to reopen

One sub sandwich chain is returning to Millstadt while another has closed its last restaurant in St. Clair County.

Subway will reopen at 101 W. Washington St. in Millstadt on Wednesday after temporarily closing last spring.

In downtown Belleville, Quizno’s closed its doors Thursday after almost 20 years. Manager Mike Barron opened at 200 E. Main St. in 1996, but he said recent sales have not been strong enough to remain open.
