Warm and windy conditions begin the week

Monday will be warm and windy in the metro-east before temperatures begin to cool down the rest of the week.

The forecast from the National Weather Service calls for sunny skies Monday with southwest winds reaching 24 miles per hours and a high near 80.

Temperatures are expected to cool off to around 50 Monday night as winds slow to about 9 miles per hour.

On Tuesday, temperatures will be cooler and fall to a high of 71 with a northwest wind of 11 miles per hour.
