The financial consultant for developers of the hotel, restaurant and sports field complex under construction off Illinois 15 said that in two weeks the developers will announce the name of at least one hotel to be built at the site.
The announcement had been expected this past week.
But Forrest Langenfeld, financial consultant for Chuck Keller of Effingham, said plans for the complex are still being finalized, so the announcement was delayed.
“We’re moving along nicely, each piece of this is moving forward,” Langenfeld said Friday. “We’re going to make those announcements in two weeks.”

Mayor Mark Eckert said that despite the delay, he remains optimistic for the project.
The project, which is valued at more than $100 million, was first announced last year. Belleville aldermen have approved about $38 million in tax incentives.
Construction has begun on the Hofbräuhaus brewery and restaurant and on Feb. 9 Wortman Properties, owners of the Jack Flash convenience store chain, announced they plan to build a store at the complex.
David Thorman of Kansas City-based Game On Sports Development said the Gateway FC soccer club based in the metro-east will be the anchor tenant of the multisports complex planned for the Illinois 15 project.
Thorman said he expects the 11-field sports complex will be finished in the fall although construction has not yet started.
We think this is going to be a great opportunity for the kids to train at a state-of-the-art facility.
Joe Reiniger, president of the Gateway FC club
Joe Reiniger, president of the Gateway FC club, said his select soccer club is now affiliated with the Missouri Rush club and will be called the Gateway Rush for the 2016-17 season.
Reiniger said he looks forward to playing soccer at the new sports complex.
“We think this is going to be a great opportunity for the kids to train at a state-of-the-art facility,” Reiniger said.
