Belleville crash injures 1, police arrest motorist

A two-car collision at the intersection of Illinois and Washington streets in downtown Belleville left one person injured and police arrested one motorist about 9:30 p.m. Saturday.

The condition of the victim transported from the crash site was not available.

The shift supervisor for the police department said he did not have details about either the crash or why the man was arrested because he had not yet received a police report on the crash.
