Home run derby in Highland to raise funds for AED at high school

A “Homers for the Heart” home run derby to benefit the Greg Holthaus Memorial Fund will be held on Saturday, Oct. 8 at the Highland Knights of Columbus ball fields. Start time is 1:30 p.m.

Cost is $60 per four-person team. You can register by contacting Gail Holthaus via Facebook, emailing Gail at gmholthaus@charter.net or call 654-2100 and leave a message. Information should include a team name and players’ names and T-shirt sizes. Players under 17 need a parent to sign a permission form. Entry deadline is Sept. 29.

The Greg Holthaus Memorial Fund helps support community projects. This year, money raised will provide Highland High School an additional AED device.
