Bradford Bank to host secure shredding, recycling day in Highland

Bradford National Bank is sponsoring a free shredding and recycling day on Saturday, Oct. 22 from 9 to 11 a.m. at the bank’s Highland facility, located at 1100 Mercantile Drive.

The bank is inviting businesses and residents to bring old financial documents, canceled checks, bank statements, tax returns or investment documents to be securely destroyed and recycled. The event is being held in conjunction with Highland Recycling and Shredding, which is a member of the National Association for Information Destruction and are licensed and bonded to securely dispose of confidential documents.

“Even a seemingly unimportant piece of paper may provide personal clues about you, a loved one, your business, or an employee,” said Luke Harris, owner of the facility in Highland. “With identity theft running rampant, don’t take the chance of allowing vital information slip by undetected.”

Bradford National Bank held a similar day last spring, and it was well received.

“Shred days are important to us as we help our customers protect themselves from identity theft and other types of fraud.” said BNB security officer Randy Alderman. “Providing a secure location for residents to destroy sensitive personal documents provides residents with peace of mind, and we are happy to provide this service.”
