EvUCC to host annual Talents & Treasures Auction

The 29th annual “Talents & Treasures” Auction, sponsored by the Evangelical United Church of Christ, is set for Sunday, Nov. 6, at the Knights of Columbus Hall in Highland. Doors open at 11:15 a.m., and the auction will begin at 12:30 p.m.

Numerous items will be up for bid that day, including holiday items, group dinners, Euchrepalooza Party, fitness club memberships, sports tickets, tools, rocker recliner, jewelry, a trolley ride for 16, a “Hillbilly Hoe-Down,” Master Mind Escape Room party, coaster wagon, Amazon Echo, Kindle Fire HD, and hand-quilted, queen-size quilt — just to name a few.

This year, a new feature has been added — a variety of games for chance to win tickets for the bucket raffles. Games will open at 11:30 a.m. Come early and be the first to try your hand at “ringer on the plunger” or “possum plinko.”

Lunch will be available for purchase, and nursery care will be provided. Auctioneer Virgil Straeter will be handling the auction.

Proceeds from the auction will enhance our church’s ministry and support the community, including the Highland Area Christian Service Ministry (HACSM).
