A kiosk will be dedicated on Memorial Day 2017 for Highland citizens who lost their lives during World War I, World War II, and a Highland police officer who was killed in the line of duty.
As part of this project, a plaza will be built with pavers memorializing military and/or first responders (police, fire, EMS, dispatcher).
The Highland American Legion and VFW will begin providing information about the pavers at the VFW shooting match and the American Legion breakfast, both of which are on Sunday, Nov. 6. The pavers will make a permanent present for your military or civilian “veteran.” Additional information will be provided in a future edition of the Highland News Leader.
