Mollie Townsend and Nathan Kugler, both of Milwaukee, Wis., were married during a 3 p.m. ceremony on June 4, 2016 at The Cathedral of St. John the Evangelist in Milwaukee, with Deacon Thomas Hunt officiating.
The bride is the daughter of Mark and Pat (Schwarz) Townsend of Springfield, Ill. Grandparents of the bride are Bob and Gloria Schwarz of Highland. She is a 2004 graduate of Sacred Heart-Griffin High School, a 2008 graduate of Georgetown University, and a 2011 graduate of Fordham University School of Law in New York City. She is currently an attorney at Hinshaw & Culbertson in Milwaukee.
The groom is the son of Dr. John and Becky Kugler of Steamboat Springs, Colo., formerly of Peoria, Ill. He is a 2004 graduate of Peoria Notre Dame High School, a 2008 graduate of the University of Iowa, and a 2012 graduate of Southern Illinois University School of Medicine in Springfield. He is currently a general surgery resident at the Medical College of Wisconsin in Milwaukee.
Julia Tarnell and Jane Siegfried served as maid and matron of honor. Shannon Kearl, Katharine Cripe, and Erin Kugler (sister of the groom) were bridesmaids.
Kevin Swong and Philippe Hevesy served as best men. Matthew Davis, Tyler Kugler (brother of the groom), and Nathan Townsend (brother of the bride) were groomsmen.
Ushers were Matthew Albrecht and Erik Hoefgen. Serving as greeters were Harleigh Wellen, Braelynn Wellen, and Addison Timmermann, cousins of the bride.
The reception was held at The Historic Pritzlaff Building in Milwaukee’s Third Ward.
After a honeymoon in Italy, the couple is residing in Milwaukee with their dog, Louie.
