City of Highland seeks employers for jobs fair

The city of Highland is seeking employers to participate in its upcoming jobs fair.

The 2017 Highland Area Job Fair will be Thursday, June 8 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Knights of Columbus Hall, 12454 State Route 143 in Highland. The event is free and is open to ages 16 and over and all education levels. Attendees are encouraged to dress professionally and to bring an updated resume.

Candidates will be able to speak with employer representatives regarding job opportunities and fill out applications. The goal of this event is to explore employment options, connect job seekers with good jobs, and to showcase Highland as a place with readily available employment opportunities.

Registered organizations represent a wide range of fields and employers and include companies such as: Clean Uniform, Trouw Nutrition, St. Joseph’s Hospital, The Bank of Edwardsville, Wal-Mart, and The Korte Company.

“We encourage everyone to come out to see what these companies have to offer and to show these companies that Highland has an eager and skilled workforce ready to support them,” said Assistant City Manager Lisa Peck.

If you are an employer and would like to participate in the job fair, contact Peck at 618-654-9891.

If you are possible job-seeker and have additional questions, email them to kmorris@highlandil.gov.
