Highland area police briefs: Aug. 18-23

HPD warrant arrests

▪ Jacob A. Sisson, 32, of Highland, was arrested Aug. 20 on an HPD warrant for failure to appear in court on a charge of driving while having a suspended/revoked license. HPD additionally charged him with another count of driving while having a suspended/revoked license. He posted bond and was released.

▪ Tiffany S. Stroud, 28, of Greenville, was arrested by HPD on Aug. 21 on warrants from Bond County for contempt of court and possession of methamphetamine. She was turned over to the Bond County Sheriff’s Department.

▪ Micheal A. Smith II, 38, of Edwardsville, was arrested by HPD on Aug. 21 on a traffic warrant from St. Clair County.

▪ Daniel W. Westfall, 21, of Highland, was arrested Aug. 22 on a warrant from Macoupin County for failure to appear in court on a charge of driving while having a suspended license. He was also wanted in Montgomery County for failure to appear in court on a charge of possession of drug paraphernalia. He posted bond and was released.

HPD misdemeanors, tickets, citations

Aug. 18

▪ Ricky Joe Kutz, 40, of Highland, was charged with possession of a controlled substance for allegedly having less than 15 grams of a substance containing cocaine. He was also charged with driving while having a suspended/revoked license.

▪ Joshua D. Kleiboeker, 35, of Highland, was charged with unlawful use of an electronic communications device.

▪ Jesse G. Bone, 22, of Charleston, Illinois, was charged with operation of an uninsured motor vehicle.

Aug. 19

▪ Micheal E. Harper, 26, of Breese, was charged with illegal transportation of alcohol.

Aug. 20

▪ James L. Vinson, 53, of Collinsville, was charged with operation of an uninsured motor vehicle and driving with a suspended/revoked license.

Aug. 21-22

▪ No tickets issued.

Aug. 23

▪ Alecia M. Brummet, 27, of Highland, was charged with retail theft for allegedly trying to take unspecified items from Walmart.
