The nominations are in, and soon the final round of voting will begin.
Again this year, the Highland News Leader asked readers to weigh in on the best things about Highland. The Choice is Yours contest features categories of Food and Drink, Shopping, Health and Fitness, Local Favorites, and Services.
From Feb. 7-22, readers nominated their favorite people place and things. The top five vote-getters in each category now make up the final ballot. (In some cases, there are more than five, due to ties. In others, there may only be four, if there those were the only ones to receive votes.)
From March 5-22, readers can vote once again to determine who will be No. 1 in each category. (The News Leader will publish a section March 28 listing the Top 3 in each category.)
