UPDATE: Boil order lifted in Highland

UPDATE: A boil order for addresses on Broadway from Chestnut to Lauren streets has been lifted after area water from the locations tested and deemed satisfactory, according to the city.

The boil order was originally issued Wednesday, Dec. 5.

A boil order has been issued for Highland residents on Wednesday, Dec. 5, for customers on Broadway from Chestnut to Laurel and at 1020 Laurel St.

The city is reminding residents in the area any water used for drinking or cooking should be boiled for five minutes before use.

The order will be lifted once samples taken to the lab have received satisfactory results, a city statement read, typically within 48 hours.

A cause for the boil order was not announced.
