Highland fire chief to retire after 38 years with department
Highland’s Fire Department Chief Rick Bloemker announced his retirement last week after 38 years of service.
“With Chief’s decades of devoted service to the City of Highland and surrounding communities he has brought the department many changes and improvements throughout the years,” a statement from the department read.
He will leave his post at the end of the year.
