Highland area fundraisers for the week of May 28

Highland Garden Club plant sale

The Highland Garden Club will hold its second plant sale of the summer on Saturday, June 6 in the Korte Recreation Center parking, lot near Glik Park Gardens, from 8 a.m. until noon.

As always, a wide variety of healthy plants will be available for sale, including various flowering plants, grasses, hostas, and tomato plants, which Garden Club members have been potting for several weeks now in preparation for the annual event. If you missed the first sale, you still have a chance to purchase some plants to fill out those flower beds and bare spots in your landscaping.

Proceeds from the Plant Sales will enable the Garden Club to continue their efforts in maintaining and beautifying both Glik Park Gardens and Lila’s Garden. If anyone is interested in joining or learning more about the club, contact Club President Kathy Moore at 654-3579 or any Garden Club member.
