Letter to the Editor: Sorry, Mr. President, I disagree with you, again

Dear Editor,

This is an open letter to President Obama:

I’d very much like to be on the same page with you on the critical issues facing America, as I believe most grateful citizens would, but I cannot. Instead of further strengthening our great country, it seems many of your only serve to divide rather than unite us. A great leader never sells his country down the river.

An old proverb states: “If you think you know a man, give him authority.”

And Thomas Jefferson, third president of the United States, warned: “Whenever a man has cast a longing eye on an office, often rottenness begins in his conduct.”

It would be best for us to heed the advice of Benjamin Franklin, who while debating the virtues of the coming Revolutionary War, made it clear that: “We must all hang together, or we’ll hang separately.”

So, Mr. President, I have no desire to hang, at your hand or any other. I beg of you to stop the smoke screen of what is and is not the most vital threat to our national security. While I wish not to diminish your focus on global warming, it is far away, and not the most critical issue facing America. It is my considered opinion that the attack on our Judeo-Christian values, which led this nation to greatness, is the primary threat to our nation’s overall security.

It’s a no-brainer that, in order to destroy a superpower, you do so from the inside, not the outside. The surest way to do that is to weaken that nation’s values and otherwise strong heritage until it no longer matters. And then, you turn that nation inward, until wrong becomes right and right becomes wrong.

I say, that was the agenda from the beginning. The promised change was really a scam — a hoodwinking of our young people an numerous ethnic groups to get you elected. Whether you knew it or not, you sir, have become a pawn in the far greater change than anyone have imagined — the ultimate takeover of America and the total destruction of our cherished moral values, freedoms and traditions.

I hate to be an insignificant prophet of gloom and doom, but it may not be long before Flag Day will honor the Islamic State instead of our Stars and Stripes. It may not be long before July 4 will be nothing more than an insignificant date on our calendar instead of a national celebration of our freedoms. And, it certainly won’t be long before our world will be turned upside down. And it is happening on your watch.
