Troy Lions raffling baseball tickets to raise funds for Troy police K-9

In 2014, the Lions Club of Troy committed to raising up to $10,000 for the Troy Police Department’s new K-9, Zak.

So far, the club has raised and donated $6,000 toward that commitment. Now, to fulfill the commitment, the Troy Lions have partnered again with local businesses to provide a raffle to be known as “4K the K-9”.

The prizes for this raffle has something for everybody. These are fantastic sections for viewing games, so bring your cameras and share your photos with friends while you are there. At the Troy Homecoming, on Saturday, July 25, there will be four major drawings, which include:

▪ Four tickets to the St. Louis Cardinals game, with a Build-A-Bear special event at the ballpark, Aug. 1 verses the Colorado Rockies. The seats are first base field boxes, section 138, row 13, seats 9-12. The tickets are courtesy of Scott Credit Union and valued at $460.

▪ Two all-inclusive St. Louis Cardinals baseball tickets on Sept. 6 against the Pirates. Tickets are in the Legion Club, outside section 208, Row A, seats 1 and 2. The tickets are courtesy of Scott Credit Union and valued at $222.

▪ Four tickets to the St. Louis Cardinals game on Aug. 19 against the Giants. These are third base infield field box seats section 158, row 21, seats 5-8. The tickes are courtesy of Weilmuenster & Keck, P.C., and valued at $560.

▪ Four tickets to a Gateway Grizzlies game in Sauget, field box seats — your choice of game date. Also included are Chamber Bucks for eats. The tickets are courtesy of the Gateway Grizzlies and the Troy/Maryville/St. Jacob/Marine Chamber of Commerce and are valued at $120.

You don’t have to be present to win these prizes. However, if you are present during the drawing, with your winning ticket in hand, you will receive free parking at the Cardinals game you just won.

On Thursday and Friday nights of homecoming, there will be early-bird drawings — for an official Grizzlies ball cap on Thursday night and an official Cardinals cap on Friday night.

•On Friday and Saturday evenings of homecoming, there will also be attendance prize drawings every half hour for special prizes starting after the parade.
