Highland Health Care Center hires new executive director
Highland Health Care Center (HHCC) has hired a new executive director/administrator.
Carla Riva has lived in the Highland community all her life and has 25 years experience in healthcare. She started her career here at Highland Healthcare as a CNA and a nurse. She moved on to receive a degree in business administration.
Riva said she is community-driven and very excited to be back at Highland Health Care Center.
Michelle Pierce, also a resident of Highland, is back at HHCC as director of nursing. She also started her medical career at Highland Health Care Center as a CNA in 1997. She has a strong background as a R.N. in skilled nursing and trauma/O.R. at Barnes-Jewish Hospital.
Jana Rueter, R.N., of Hoyleton, Ill., is the new director of staff development/education specialist. She has more than 20 years of experience in nursing, skilled care and dialysis.
Pam Loddeke of Breese is back as HHCC’s marketing/admissions director. Loddeke is a respiratory care practitioner by trade with 25 years experience. She also previously worked at Highland Health Care Center for more than eight years as a member of the therapy department.
Highland Health Care Center, a part of the Covenant Care family is located at 1450 26th St. in Highland and provides short-term rehabilitation therapy, long-term care, hospice and stroke rehabilitation services.
