Student-athletes at area schools can get a head-start on gearing up for the next school year’s sports seasons (2015-2016 academic year) by completing their sports physicals even before the first day of school begins. That’s why HSHS St. Joseph’s Hospital’s sports medicine program — Athletes Advantage — will be offering sports physicals to area student-athletes on the following dates and times:
▪ Tuesday, June 23 from 4:30 to 7 p.m. (completed forms and pre-payment due June 13);
▪ Tuesday, July 7 from 4:30 to 7 p.m. (completed forms and pre-payment due June 27;
▪ Tuesday, July 28 from 4:30 to 7 p.m. (completed forms and pre-payment due June 18.
This year, same as last year, all physicals will require pre-registration and pre-payment. Appointment times will be given to streamline the process. The Athletes Advantage staff at St. Joseph’s Hospital (Highland) — along with local physicians — will be available to complete these required physical examinations. Priority will be given to those who first complete the pre-registration process.
For more information and to download the appropriate sports physical forms, go to the St. Joseph’s Hospital website at stjosephshighland.org. The Athletes Advantage sports physicals will be held in the Ungacta Conference Center in the Medical Office Building at St. Joseph’s Hospital, 12866 Troxler Ave. in Highland at a low cost of $25. All proceeds will benefit local school athletic programs. For more information, contact Tina Frank at email@example.com or 618-651-2720.
