Baptist church to hold VBS
New Douglas Baptist Church will hold vacation Bible school June 14-19 from 6 to 9 p.m. each night. Ages 4 through 18 are welcome to attend. The theme is “Journey of the Map,” where kids will set out on a journey to uncharted territory and encounter something unexpected at every turn; they will need to stick close to their guide to “survive.” New Douglas Baptist Church is located at 407 N. 1st St. Phone (217) 456-6161.
Rec Plex plans summer events

Meals on Wheels driver needed

Christian school registering students
The New Douglas Community Christian School is accepting pre-K, age 4, and kindergarten students for classes that will begin in September. Center Schools Girl Scout Troop 426 will meet every second and fourth Thursday from 6 to 7:30 p.m. at the New Douglas Community Center. Contact Rachel Fogg at (603) 205-2433 for more information. Grades K-12 are welcome.
The New Douglas Volunteer Fire Department will meet every first, second and fourth Monday.
