Friends of St. Joseph’s Hospital has announced it has changed names to HSHS St. Joseph’s Foundation to better reflect its role as the philanthropic arm for HSHS St. Joseph’s Hospital.
As the “Friends,” HSHS St. Joseph’s Foundation has been serving the Highland community for more than three decades, providing the community a local avenue for community giving and volunteering to ensure the best health care possible for Highland and the surrounding communities.
“While our name has changed, the mission of HSHS St. Joseph’s Foundation remains the same.” Foundation director Amy Liefer said. “Every dollar raised by the HSHS St. Joseph’s Foundation directly impacts the patients we serve in our community by funding the latest medical breakthroughs and innovations, health care education, preventive health practices and more. Through the efforts of the Foundation and our dedicated supporters, we are helping secure a healthier future.”
The HSHS St. Joseph’s Foundation is an integral part of the Hospital Sisters of St. Francis Foundation, which supports 14 HSHS hospitals throughout Illinois and Wisconsin, and assures that all funds raised in the Highland area stay local and are appropriately administered to provide the greatest impact for our community.
