Village Yard Sales

This year’s Grantfork Village Yard Sales are planned for Thursday, June 25, from 3 to 8 p.m.; Friday, June 26 from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.; and Saturday, June 27 from 8 a.m. to noon. If enough people are interested, maps may be drawn. Contact Wendy at 675-3472 to register your yard sale and to be placed on the map. This will help to determine how many yard sales there will be for advertising.

St. Gertrude Church

Open house to honor Father Pat Jakel

An open house will be held honoring Father Pat Jakel’s 30th Jubilee before he takes up his new calling as pastor of St. Paul Catholic Church in Highland.

Celebrations will be held at St. Jerome in Troy on Saturday, June 27 from 5 to 7:30 p.m., and again on Sunday, June 28 from 8:15 to 10:45 a.m. and noon to 3 p.m. Finger sandwiches, cake, cookies, brownies and cupcakes with coffee, tea and lemonade will be provided by parishioners of St. Elizabeth, St. James, St. Gertrude and St. Jerome parishes.

Consolidation of offices

Vera Durbin’s office will now be located at 104 Wayland Ave. in Troy, instead of at St. Elizabeth in Marine. Durbin’s e-mail and phone number will stay the same.

Grantfork UCC

The Independence Day worship service will be held July 5 at 9 a.m. at Cool Creek Resort. There will be fellowship hour after the service.

There will be a 10 a.m. worship service at Alhambra Care on Thursday, June 18.
