The spelling bee was open to all boys and girls up to the age of 16. Trophies were awarded to the top three winners and all contestants received a certificate of participation. The top three winners advanced to the Regional Spelling Bee. The top three winners from the regional will then advance to the State Spelling Bee. The winners were:
First place: Daniel Wick from St. Paul Catholic School
Second place: Wyatt Orender from Pocahontas Elementary School
Third place: Ella Henrichs from St. Rose Elementary School
