National Alliance on Mental Illness Southwestern Illinois (NAMI SWI) — 7-8:30 p.m. Online via Zoom. Virtual support meetings for family members and other caregivers of individuals with mental illness. Meetings are peer-led and rely on the knowledge and experiences of the group to help one another. Author Visit: Bill Clevlen — 7 p.m. Case-Halstead Library, 550 6th St., Carlyle. Author Bill Clevlen will share stories about writing his new book “The Ultimate American Music Bucket List” and sign copies of the book for those who attend. 618-594-5210.

Highland Garden Club — 7 p.m. Korte Rec Center, 1 Nagel Drive, Highland. The Program, “Care and Repotting of Orchids,” will be presented by Kent Weil of Prairie State Orchid Society. Visitors are always welcome.

Memorial Services at Harris Cemetery of Alhambra — 10 a.m. Harris Cemetery, Alhambra. The cemetery is operated by the Harris Cemetery Association, not affiliated with a church, and is located on Alhambra Road approximately 1/2 mile south of Illinois Route 140. The public is invited to attend.

Tuesday, May 31

Parents of Addicted Loved Ones — 7-8:30 p.m. Online via Zoom. The PAL group provides education, support and hope to family members and loved ones of someone who has an addiction of substance use disorder. Free and open to all. HSHS St. Joseph’s Hospital Foundation Party on the Patio — 6 p.m. Saturday, June 4. Schlafly Highland Square, 907 Main St., Highland. Fundraiser to support health care initiatives at St. Joseph’s Hospital Highland. The event will feature food, drinks — including 15 Schlafly beers — music and a silent auction. Tickets are $150 for attendees and are available now at stjosephshighland.org/foundation.
