This group provides the opportunity to learn and share helpful information, support each other in dealing with Parkinson’s disease-related issues, and to connect with others who can relate to your experience. Comprised of professional musicians, Navy Band Great Lakes regularly performs for military engagements, public concerts, recitals and educational clinics for audiences throughout the Midwest. ▪ Highland Area Community Foundation’s 27th annual Grant Banquet — 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 11. Knights of Columbus Hall, 12454 IL-143, Highland. Doors open at 6 p.m. Grants totaling over $78,000 will be awarded to support community projects. In the past 27 years, over $1.3 million in grants and scholarships have gone back into our service area. Cost is $50 per person, $18 of which is tax deductible.
