Register now for Greenville’s Bicentennial ‘Run Through Time’
You can lace up your running shoes for Greenville’s Bicentennial Run Through Time, a 5K run on Saturday, Sept. 5 at 8 a.m. The 5K will be the first official event of the Bicentennial weekend.
Runners can compete in one of seven age groups: 13 and under; 14-19; 20-29; 30-39; 40-49; 50-59; and 60 and over. Prizes will be awarded to the top male and female finishers in each age division 14 and older. Participatory ribbons will be given to each runner 13 and under.
Pre-registration is open until Aug. 14. Forms can be found attached to this story or at www.greenville200.com.
Event T-shirts are not guaranteed to those registering after Aug. 14. Entry fee is free for those 13 and under; $20 for ages 14 to 19; and $25 for 20 and over. After the deadline registration is $30. Registrations will also be taken Friday, Sept.4 from 6 to 7 p.m in front of the Greenville College Student Union, corner of College and Spruce. No registrations will be accepted the day of the event.
Check-in on race day begins at 7 a.m. in front of Young Funeral Home, 118 E. College Avenue. Race packets will be distributed at check-in. The race will conclude at the Greenville College Student Union. Refreshments will be available at the finish line for race participants.
