Alhambra Rehab and Healthcare

Valentine’s Day was a really busy day for the residents at Alhambra Rehab and Healthcare. The day started out with visitors coming in for coffee and doughnuts for the open house and after lunch a Valentine’s Day party complete with the crowning of this years king and queen took place. Congratulations to Frank Hunter and Roneith Anderson. Cookies and punch rounded out a busy day.

Hitz Home Valentine’s Day

The party atmosphere started off with karaoke, cupcakes and punch and then the crowning of King Lester and Queen Doris. Everyone had a wonderful time and congratulations to this years king and queen.

Alhambra Primary

This is the beginning of the 12th annual “Try-Athalon.” From now until the end of the year students will face a series of challenges they will “Try” to achieve.

During P.E they will try to walk a distance of 13 miles. Reading for enjoyment is another challenge as is completing a service project (this will be to collect items for HACSM/Highland Area Christian Service Ministry). This project for the food pantry is due Friday, Feb. 24. The final challenge will be to do Random Acts of Kindness.

Friday, March 3, will be a teacher’s in service and school will dismiss at 11:50 a.m.

Center School PTO Fundraiser

Center School PTO parents are having a drive-thru spaghetti dinner from 2-7 p.m. Saturday, March 4, at Alhambra School. Menu consists of spaghetti with meat sauce, salad, roll and dessert. Cost is $10 per dinner. Volunteers will be needed at the event to sell tickets, dish up dinners and deliver dinners to cars.

JC Pickle Races

Alhambra Jaycees will host a fun evening of games, raffles, races and much more Saturday, March 11, at the Township Park in the Firemen Legion Hall. Doors will open at 6:30 p.m. and betting begins at 7 p.m. Races will begin at 7:30 p.m.

Included in the festivities will be vibrator races, The Big Wheel, 50/50 drawing, Lotto Board Raffle and Cooler of Booze Raffle. Proceeds will benefit Shriners Hospital.
