Madison County HCE to sponsor ‘Summer Cool Down’ craft event
Enjoy a cool Saturday with a friend, your daughter or granddaughter and learn a new craft at the Madison County Association for Home and Community Education (MCAHCE) Summer Cool Down.
MCAHCE, in conjunction with the Alton Bluff Crafters and Senior Service Plus, is sponsoring its annual event on Saturday, Aug. 1 at Senior Services Plus, 2603 N. Rodgers in Alton, from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Some of the classes at this year’s Cool Down include:
▪ Mesh Loop Wreaths,
▪ Easy Ballet Tutus,
▪ Mylar Pendants,
▪ Rug Hooking,
▪ Chalk Art,
▪ Fine Art Acrylic “Still Life” and “Seascape,”
▪ String Art,
▪ Gardening Sessions,
▪ Growing and Cooking with Herbs,
▪ Quilt Magic, and
▪ Zipper Flower Brooch.
To get a flier or register, contact Claudia at (618) 433-1907 or (618) 559-4545 or Joyce at (618) 656-1331. Extra forms are also available at Senior Services Plus. Registration is $10, which includes lunch. Class fees are additional and must be paid prior to event.
The deadline to register is July 30.
Event and class fees are transferable to anther person but not refundable. If classes are not filled, walk-ins will be welcomed.
