First aid/safety class set for July 27 at HSHS St. Joseph-Breese
The final first aid and safety classes for 2015 will be offered at 6 p.m. Mondays, July 27 and Oct. 26, in the HSHS St. Joseph-Breese Heritage Room.
Participants will learn how to recognize an emergency, follow the three emergency action steps and provide basic care for injury or sudden illness until the victim can receive emergency medical help. The class is appropriate for anyone needing first aid certification to meet job requirements or for personal interest.
September McAdoo, MPA, MA, certified with the American Safety and Health Institute, is the class instructor. Those successfully completing the course will receive a two-year ASHI certification.
Cost for the three-hour course is $40 which covers video presentation, hands-on training, manual and class materials. Registration and payment is required prior to class.
