Letter to the Editor
I’m writing to share my appreciation for the volunteers of the Grantfork Fire Department, their families, and all those who take time to volunteer for any public service.
I was recently honored at the Grantfork Fire Department Appreciation Banquet. While I was unable to attend the event in person, I am quite humbled by this honor and cannot say “thank you” enough. My love for capturing photographs and sharing those with the community pales in comparison to that of those who volunteer to answer the call when the emergency alarm sounds. Those emergency volunteers are the true heroes of our communities and cannot be recognized enough! Thank you, fine volunteers for being there when folks are in need! And thank you to all their families who pray that each one of you return home after the alarm sounds.
As someone once said, “The heart of a volunteer is not measured in size but by the depth of their commitment to make a difference in the lives of others.”
Your service is priceless to our communities! Thank you! It is an honor to be recognized among you!
