Alhambra Rehab and Healthcare
Alhambra Rehab and Healthcare will hold their first annual Easter Egg Hunt from 9 a.m. to noon Saturday, April 1. The Easter Egg Hunt is open to children ages 3-12 years old. They will be separated in groups by ages with the age groups being 3- to 5-year-olds, 6- to 9-year-olds and 10- to 12-year-olds. Prizes will be awarded for special eggs. Donations of candy or plastic eggs would be appreciated. Contact Michelle Lopreste, activity director, at 484-635-5077 for further information.
Food Pantry Needs
Highland Food Pantry needs kids and adult cereals, jelly (plastic containers preferred), boxed dinner mixes,(Hamburger Tuna Helper or Chicken Tuna Helper), canned mixed vegetables, canned Chunky Soup, feminine hygiene products, diapers (size 2, 3 & 4), pull-ups, toothpaste and personal hygiene products.
Hamel Bread of Life Food Pantry needs Ramen Noodles, Hamburger Helper, pancake mix and syrup, jelly, mayonnaise, mustard, ketchup, pasta sauce, coffee, sugar, flour, cooking oil, toothbrushes and tooth paste, shampoo, dish/laundry detergent, bars of soap, toilet paper and empty egg cartons.
Nursing Home Bingo Prizes
This is a list of items that many of the residents of the various nursing homes would appreciate receiving as bingo prizes. Any sample size bottles of shampoo, conditioner, Pringles, chips, good used clothing, new socks (men like these), new combs, brushes, new toothbrushes, tooth paste and mouth wash. Items may be donated by taking to any area nursing home and giving at office. Residents enjoy have a selection of items to choose from when they win bingo.
Salem UCC Easter Flowers
Easter lilies or tulips are now available of $13 each. People should call the church office at 618-488-3215 or fill out a paper with payment and how many and what kind of flowers they wish to purchase. Please include name of person of which it is in honor / memory of and name of person buying flowers.
Alhambra Primary
- School will dismiss at 2:20 p.m.Wednesday, March 15.
- The March PTO meeting will be at 7 p.m. Thursday, March 16, via Zoom.
- From Thursday, March 23, through Thursday, March 30, the third grade class will be taking Illinois Assessment in Reading (IAR) exams.
- This years spring break will be Thursday, April 6, through Monday, April 10. There will be no school on these dates.
