Grantfork Elementary Survey
Illinois State Board of Education is offering the parents an opportunity to rate their children school. This may be kept anonymous or may be signed. The website will only be up for a short period of time, so people interested in giving feedback should not delay. The website is: http://survey.5-essentials.org/illinois/survey/parent/.
Grantfork Elementary
Grantfork Elementary Marathon Club began Monday, March 6. Students will be monitored and will receive a bracelet for each 5 miles they walk. Illinois Assessment Reading (IAR) testing will be held from Thursday, March 23, and Friday, March 24, as well as Tuesday, March 28, through Friday, Marcy 31. These are computerized test and are hard to make up. It is important the students be in attendance these dates.
St. Gertrude’s Catholic Church
The Stations of the Cross will be observed during Lent at 6 p.m. Wednesdays.
Grantfork Anniversary Books
Laurence Schwartz has four anniversary books left for sale. These tell the history of St. Gertrude Catholic Church and Grantfork United Church of Christ. If interested in purchasing a copy of the book, contact Shirley Schwartz at 618-675-2883.
Highland Food Pantry Needs
Jelly (plastic jars), cereal, Hamburger Helper, soups (especially Chunky type soups), toothpaste, diapers, feminine hygiene products.
