Letter to the Editor

I am pleased to endorse Nathan Schmidt for the office of Village Trustee for the Village of St. Jacob.

I witnessed Schmidt’s tireless campaign to be appointed to the Village Board after the resignation of another trustee. Since that time, he has shown the same determination to develop his expertise and knowledge to be a true civic leader.

As I have worked with him to help him achieve a deep understanding of the village’s finances, he has shown me that he has an excellent understanding of the challenges facing the Village and the vision to capitalize on opportunities to move us forward.

I have been the village’s treasurer for almost 10 years and have worked with various governments for 40 years and have rarely had the privilege of working with someone with a greater commitment to serving his constituents. I am confident that Schmidt will be a major force for improving on the Village’s record of success.

Without a doubt, Nathan Schmidt is the most qualified candidate in this election, and I urge you to give him your vote on April 4.
