St. Gertrude Cemetery Memorial Service
A Memorial Day Service will be held at St. Gertrude’s Cemetery at 10:30 a.m. Monday, May 29. Attendees are asked to bring lawn chairs.
St. Gertrude Chicken Dinner
St. Gertrude Church will host its annual Chicken Dinner on Sunday, June 4, from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Each dinner will include ½ chicken, dressing, mashed potatoes/gravy, green beans, applesauce and slaw. This year’s event will have a limited amount of dine-in seating available. A donation of $13 per dinner. There are no raffle tickets or country store this year.

The next P:TO Meeting will be held on Thursday, Aug. 17, at 6:30 p.m. via Zoom
Grantfork Elementary
The final day of school for this year’s classes will be Thursday, May 25 with an 11:50 a.m. early dismissal.
St. Gertrude’s Catholic Church Graduates
St. Gertrude’s Parish honored the following members of their parish with a special breakfast on May 21. Congratulations to all the following graduates.
Highland High School: Michael Barry, Robby Curry, Shane Field, Kyle Hess, Nicholas James, Chloe Neumann and Madelyn Trauernicht;
Greenville High School: Haiven Durbin and Christian Lee.
Laurie Eilers, summa cum laude; University of Arizona Global Campus, where she studied Organized Management.
Dennis Trickey, Bishop Simon Brute Seminary in Indianapolis for four years. He will continue his education at Kenrick in St. Louis for the next four years.
Jacob Wernle, Southern Illinois University Edwardsville, graduated in Computer Engineering and Computer Science. He graduated cum laude.
