St. Gertrude Catholic Church

St. Gertrude Church will host its annual Chicken Dinner on Sunday, June 4. This year’s event offers carryout with a limited amount of dine-in seating available. They plan to bring back their menu with dressing and coleslaw. Beverage options are tea and water. No dessert will be offered. The cost is a donation of $13 per dinner with plans to serve 1,000 dinners. There are no raffle tickets or country store this year.

Grantfork Elementary

Every year volunteer firemen come to talk to the fourth-grade class at Grantfork Elementary about head injuries related to bicycle accidents. To help prevent these accidents, as a community, each child is given a new bike helmet. Thanks to Alhambra Fire Department and New Douglas Volunteer Fire Department for the help!
