Alhambra 2022 Water Report

Alhambra Primary Garden Day

Volunteers are needed to tend to the student garden at Alhambra Primary. A work day is planned for 6-7 p.m. Thursday, June 8. Water and snacks will be provided. Need people to help water, weed, plant and harvest anything left in the vegetable garden. Bring garden tools, bags and gloves. RSVP Sarah 618-344-4230 or email ruth1@illinois.edu.

Lunch Bunch Program

Area churches have banned together to ensure area children will receive lunch throughout the summer months when a school lunch is not available. There is no charge. The only requirements are you must be 18 or younger and be at the distribution area at the time the lunches are being dropped off. Lunches will be distributed in front of the Post Office from 11:40-11:50 a.m. and at Alhambra Township Park (by the ball diamonds ) from 11:55 a.m. to 12:05 p.m. Alhambra lunches will be given out on Mondays (two lunches) and Wednesdays (three lunches). This program runs May 31- Aug. 9.

Swimming Pools

Any resident filling a swimming pool over 1,000 gallons can receive a deduction on their sewer charge by contacting the Village Hall 488-3505 prior to filling the pool.

Swimming Pool Safety

Pool owners are responsible for keeping their pool area safe. Ladders left in pools are an invitation to toddlers. Be sure and remove the ladders anytime there is not an adult in attendance at the pool area.

Resident Phone Numbers

The Village Clerk is asking all residents to see that the village office has a current phone number for each household. In the event of a water or gas leak it may be necessary to contact someone immediately. Phone numbers will not be shared with anyone and will be used only if necessary to contact you.
