Jaycees Fireworks
Come to Alhambra Township Park and enjoy the Fourth of July in style. Bring lawn chairs and blankets to sit back and watch the heavens light up with a magnificent display of sparkles, colors and shapes. Food, drinks and ice cream floats available at 6 p.m. Fun starts at dusk.
This is a free event provided by Alhambra Jaycees, Village of Alhambra and generous donations by those attending.
Salem Church Exhale Car Wash
Salem United Church of Christ Youth Group Exhale will hold a car wash behind the bank building 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Tuesday, July 11. Proceeds will fund the group’s mission trips.
Alhambra Homecoming
August 4-5 will be the return of Alhambra’s Homecoming. Saturday night the parade begins at 6 p.m. Friday night music will be provided by The Gusto; Saturday night it will be Benders and Backroads. A Bounce House will be on site for the little ones both nights.
Tractors and classic cars are on display as well as a Model Train Show.
Enjoy fried chicken, fish, hamburgers, barbecue pork steaks, homemade desserts, ice cream and so much more. Enjoy a cold beer, soda or bottle of water.
Saturday there will be a tractor drive from 9-11 a.m. and a car cruise at noon. The pedal car tractor pull starts at 1 p.m.
Alhambra Fire Department Gun Raffle
Alhambra volunteer firemen will sell raffle tickets through Saturday, Aug. 5. Proceeds from the raffle helps purchase and maintain much needed equipment.
This year’s raffle tickets will include: first prize - Winchester Wildcat 22; second prize - Savage Axis 11 223; third prize - Winchester SXP 20 gauge; fourth prize - $200 cash; fifth prize - $100 cash. Tickets are $10 each or three for 25.
You must be 18 years or older in order to buy a ticket and legally allowed to purchase a firearm.
