Grantfork 74th annual Homecoming

Grantforks 74th annual Homecoming will be held Friday, Aug. 18, and Sat., Aug. 19, at Firemen’s Park on Route 160.

A children’s parade takes place both days at 6:30 p.m. This year’s theme is “Let’s Read a Book.”

Bands for the two nights are Money Shot on Friday night and Benders and Backroads on Saturday night.

Great food will be available, including chicken, fish, hamburgers, fries, homemade pies, cakes and hand-dipped ice cream.

Have fun playing bingo and other games. Kids will enjoy the bounce house.

Historical Society Rummage Sale

This year’s Grantfork Historical Society Rummage Sale will be Sept. 14-16. The dates to bring items to the Auction Barn will be announced at a later date.

Pre-K Screening

Children ages 3-5 are encouraged to get screened. This screening will help to determine if a child would benefit from early childhood classes.

Parents that have their children screened are under no obligation to sign the child up for school. If interested in having a child screening, call the Highland Primary office to schedule an appointment. Scheduling times and dates are as follows:

  • 9 a.m. to noon Tuesday, Aug. 15;

  • 9 a.m. to noon Wednesday, Aug. 16;

  • 9 a.m. to noon Friday, Sept. 22;

  • 9 a.m. to noon Wednesday, Oct. 18.
