Highland Garden Club meeting to focus on vegetables

The Highland Garden Club will meet Thursday, July 23 at the home of Dan and Jane Rosen, 1509 Paradise in Highland, beginning at 6:30 p.m.

The Rosens were on the Highland Garden Club’s annual Garden Tour earlier this summer. In addition to beautiful landscaping and flowering plants throughout their yard, they have a huge vegetable garden. Dan Rosen will present the evening’s program on “How to Grow Your Own Food.”

Garden Club members and anyone else interested are invited and encouraged to attend. Please bring your own lawn chair.

The Highland Garden Club meets monthly on the fourth Thursday of each month. Meetings are held at various venues and will be announced in the local newspaper. The mission of the club is “To plant the seeds of knowledge, cultivate friendships, grow in our appreciation of nature, harvest ideas, and preserve the beauty of our community.” Anyone interested in learning more about the Garden Club should call membership chairperson Chris Miller at 654-4725.
