Sign up now to become a ‘Master Naturalist’
Do you want to know more about prairies, wetlands, or forests? Are you looking for ways to volunteer and be connected to nature? The University of Illinois Extension Master Naturalist program trains adult volunteers who are working on many local projects.
Trainings are held Wednesdays, Aug. 26 through Nov. 11 from 1 to 5 p.m. and two field trips will be scheduled for Saturdays in September from 8:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Topics included in training are prairies, wetlands, ornithology, herpetology, botany, entomology, and much more. Participants must register for the training. The training cost $225.
