Highland Police Department
The Highland Police Department would like to make residents aware of a potential scam.
It has come to their attention that individuals are calling residents claiming to be from the “Publishers Clearing House.”
These individuals ask whoever answers the telephone to meet them at a local business or purchase gift cards to forward to them as confirmation of their sweepstakes win.
Please do not meet anyone or mail anyone money/gift cards to claim a prize. Legitimate businesses do not request this type of behavior.
If you receive one of these calls simply hang up and do not provide any personal information.
If you need further assistance or are concerned, please contact the police department at 618-654-2131, ext. 1.

This is available to anyone paying for water only or also for trash and sewer. This will help streamline services and guarantee that you receive your statement in a timely manner.
