Salem UCC 2024 Sausage Supper

Salem UCC would like to thank all who braved the cold rainy weather to attend the 76th Sausage Supper.

A total of 1,828 meals were sold. Although the numbers were down from 2,019 meals sold last year, it is with heartfelt thanks to all who attended and to all the wonderful people that worked so hard to make this such a success.

Alhambra Primary

Students participating in the Young Authors Program will have turned their stories in by Friday, Feb. 2.

Each teacher will select a story from their class as the best one offered, and the winners will be announced Friday, Feb. 9.

175th Jubilee Meeting

The next 175th Jubilee meeting will be held Thursday, Feb. 8, at 7 p.m. at the Village Hall.

The committee will ride in the Wordi Gras Parade Saturday, Feb. 10.

They will ride on an easy-to-get-on-and-off-of trailer that was rehabbed with padded bench seats for the riders’ comfort.

Riders will throw out beaded necklaces and special wooden nickels along the parade route.

Save the date Sunday, March 17, to attend the second fun-filled evening of Mouse Races at Township Park in Alhambra, sponsored by the 175th Anniversary Committee.

Jaycees to Host LarryPalooza

The Alhambra Jaycees will host a LarryPalooza Concert 5 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 24 at Alhambra Firemen Legion Hall at the Township Park.

This Larry Jones Memorial Foundation Benefit Concert will feature TG, The Gusto Band and Benders.

Alhambra Homecoming 2024

Homecoming 2024 will be the 175th anniversary of Alhambra.

Fun starts Friday, Aug. 2, with Cheers Band. Saturday night will feature Exit 36 and Jessie G from Tennessee; Sunday night Travis Tracy will take the stage.

The Firemen Legion Hall will have a train display and the history of Alhambra.

This is just the start of the three-day event. Keep the dates open so not to miss any of the entertainment and terrific food that will be available.

PTO Drive-Thru Spaghetti Dinner

The Center School PTO will hold its second annual Drive-Thru Spaghetti Dinner fundraiser on Saturday, March 2. Further information at a later date.
