Burning Alerts
The National Weather Service is asking people to refrain from any type of outdoor burning during this windy weather.
Conditions are ripe for fire to get out of hand in seconds and can cause untold damages to property and lives.
Cigarette butts thrown out while driving can also escalate into a major fire very quickly.
Jaycees Pickle Races
The Alhambra Jaycees will host Pickle Races as a fund drive for the Shriners Hospital on Saturday, March 23, 6:30-11 p.m.
The fun and very worthwhile event will be held at the Alhambra Township Park in the Firemen Legion building.
Doors open at 6:30 p.m., and the first races begin at 7 p.m.
Throughout the evening there will be 50/50 drawings, vibrator races, Big 6 Wheel, cooler of booze and lotto board raffles.
175th Anniversary Mouse Races
The 175th Anniversary Committee will host its second annual Mouse Race fundraiser on Saturday, March 16, at the Alhambra Township Park in the Firemen Legion Hall.
Doors open at 6:30 p.m. with the first race beginning at 7 p.m.
There will be a cash bar with beer and soda. Bring your own snacks, but no outside alcohol is allowed in the hall.
2024 Jaycee Easter Egg Hunt
This year’s Easter Egg Hunt will be held Saturday, March 30, at 1 p.m. at the Alhambra Township Park behind the Firemen Legion Hall.
Categories will be ages 0-3, 4-6, 7-9 and 10 and up. There will be multiple prize baskets for each age group.
The Easter Bunny will be on hand for pictures with the kids.
Alhambra Primary
Alhambra students are taking orders for Perfect Pastries now through March 11.
Classes will also be participating in Read Across America in honor of the late Dr. Seuss. Each day in memory of one of the Dr. Seuss books, the kids will do something different.
Monday will be wacky socks day (wear different socks); Tuesday wear green; Wednesday, mismatched clothing, inside out or backwards; Thursday, favorite hat, and Friday will be animal prints.

Alhambra Yard Sales will be held April 25-27.
