Hitz Home news

March was a busy month for the residents at Hitz Memorial Home.

Everyone enjoyed a fun-filled St. Patrick’s Day and had fun celebrating one of their favorite auxiliary members birthdays.

Mrs. Faye Brown received flowers and special little gifts in appreciation for all she does for those living at Hitz.

It was time to paint fingernails once all the Easter Eggs were decorated. Then everyone enjoyed sweet treats compliments of Midway UCC.

The auxiliary supplied hoagie sandwiches, chips and a cookie for lunch one day and celebrated Bill Bone, their very own maintenance guy as employee for the month of March.

Homemade quilts made by three amazing ladies named Deb, Donna and Kathy were presented to the residents that hadn’t received a quilt yet.

These quilts are specially made for each resident with their names embroidered on a flannel-lined hand muff.

The quilts were made in memory of Kathy’s late father-in-law, Wayne Stille.

The school will collect clothing in the green bins outside the school. The school collecting the most clothing and shoes by the pound will receive $500.

Kindergarten visitation will be held Friday, April 26.

Children turning 5 before Sept. 1, 2024, need to be pre-registered to attend visitation.

Current students will not have classes on this date.
