St. Joseph’s Hospital Auxiliary to host used book sale
Novels in their second lives are every bit as fun to read as novels in their first. They cost less, too.
HSHS St. Joseph’s Hospital (Highland) Auxiliary offers you the opportunity to build your inventory of books from the recently released and long-ago published at its annual Used Book Sale Aug. 6 -8.
The sale will be held in the Ungacta Conference Center on the campus of the new St. Joseph’s Hospital.
On Thursday, Aug. 6, the sale is 1 to 5 p.m., and admission is $2. On Friday, Aug. 7, book sale hours are 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., and admission is free. On Saturday, Aug. 8, you can buy a bag of books for $2 from 9 to 11 a.m. That day also is free admission.
Among books for sale are several recent releases in hardcover and an impressive selection of mysteries, cookbooks, craft books, non-fiction, children’s books, books on tape and much more. Also for sale will be puzzles, videos, sheet music, cassettes and CDs.
The St. Joseph’s Hospital Auxiliary is also accepting used book donations. Used book donations are accepted Monday-Friday from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. in the hospital’s Gift Shop, 12866 Troxler Ave. In addition, the St. Joseph’s Hospital Auxiliary will also take donations of brown paper grocery bags.
The St. Joseph’s Hospital Auxiliary has been fortunate to have the support of local community residents who donate their used books for resale during the Auxiliary’s annual Used Book Sale. This is a very successful fundraiser for the Auxiliary and all used book donations are appreciated.
