Local students place at Kaskaskia College cosmetology contest

The Annual Betty Wilkerson Memorial Student Competition was recently held at Kaskaskia College.

The student cosmetology competition is held once a year and the students compete against other students at their own level. This competition consists of three categories: Total Fashion, Hair Design, and Makeup. Students can also opt to participate in nail design.

Local students receiving awards for the different levels were:

Level 3

Makeup 3rd place: Maddie Nickerson, Highland

Hair 2nd place: Maddie Nickerson, Highland

Level 5

Makeup 1st place: Logan Repucci, Highland

Makeup 2nd place: Danielle Driemeyer, Trenton

Makeup 3rd place: Catherine Wolters, Trenton

Hair 1st place: Danielle Driemeyer, Trenton

2nd place: Logan Repucci, Highland

Total Fashion: Logan Repucci, Highland

Creative Nail Art 1st place: Briana Knackstedt, Alhambra (tie)
