Highland Chamber of Commerce starting a Business Book Club
The Highland Chamber of Commerce is starting a Business Book Club.
Participants will have a brown bag lunch in the Chamber Office Conference Room once a week and work through the chosen book one chapter at a time.
“Each week we will discuss the assigned chapter and action items. This is a great opportunity to meet with other leaders and bounce ideas off of them. The books we read will vary as will their content but all of them will be business focused. Our moderator will change based on the book that we are reading,” said Nancie Zobrist, Highland Chamber of Commerce executive director.
The first book will be Book Yourself Solid byMichael Port. It is available at both Amazon.com and Half.com. Both have a variety of New and Used copies that are reasonably priced.
“Jeff Weinacht of Pulse Performance has already worked though this book with a colleague and has graciously accepted my harping to be our moderator this time around,” Zobrist said.
The club’s first meeting will be at noon on Tuesday, Sept. 1.
Anyone interested in the Business Book Club can email Zobrist at nancie@highlandillinois.com to reserve a spot.
