See ‘stars’ at JOY Singers concerts this season
The fall/winter season of JOY Singers (Just Older Youth) are planning a program of “Stars.”
Songs with the word “stars” in them will be in this season’s repertoire. Songs like Twinkle, Twinkle Little Star, We Three Kings, Away in a Manger, C-H-I-R-S-T-M-A-S, and many more.
Practice will start Sept. 14, at the First Baptist Church, 2709 Poplar St. in Highland. All practices will be on Mondays at 1:30 p.m. and last about one hour. Men and women past the age of 55 years are welcome to be a part of this group. One does not need to read music. A schedule of performances will be handed out during the practice period.
Performances will be at nursing homes, assisted living homes, retirement centers, and some organizations in Highland and communities all around the area.
If you like to sing and bring a little joy to others, come join the JOY Singers and sing about “stars.” For more information, call Lillian at 887-4522 or Shirley at 644-3821
