Highland Police Chief Terry Bell recognized Tim Rusteberg at Monday’s City Council meeting for his service as interim EMS chief.

Last month, Bell introduced Brian Wilson as the new head of the Highland EMS. Wilson replaced Gary Crosby, who submitted his resignation on March 5. Crosby started to work at Highland EMS as a volunteer in 1996, and was named the city’s full-time EMS director in 1999.

Also at Monday’s meeting Mayor Joe Michaelis congratulated members of the Highland Splash on their recent first-place finish in the Midwest Swim Conference.
